The only redeeming factor for public transport in London is the tube, and that it does not have to deal with the traffic and you don't have to try to park when you get there. There is no other reason to take it. Note that the congestion charge in London was supposed to fix the traffic (still no parking though), but it didn't and it's now basically just a toll.
