If you don't collect the data, there isn't an identifiable problem. I used to work at this place overseas. We got a new director, had spent time in America learning great things, open office, flat structure, door is always open blah blah blah. That lasted maybe a month. It didn't take long for our managers to basically say 'For the love of god just keep your opinions to yourselves or we'll all get fired'. Hello, you hired us for our technical expertise and we're just sitting here telling you you're making bad choices based on zero data and zero consideration for our stakeholders and how prepared they are to deal with your bad choices but yeah we're the problem.
