Do we know why the US government did not promise to buy chips but to give tax breaks (or investment thereof)? Wouldn't promise to buy create a better incentive to the manufacturers?
- kylehotchkiss 2y agoThere's just such a big shift between parties right now that when the current admin is done, you're not gonna know what to expect with the next. Especially with something that's more policy (purchase orders) than law (taxes). Better to just codify the benefits.
