Tenure or not, the university doesn't have to have the salary keep up with inflation. Really, bottom line, a prof has to continue to please their department colleagues, chair, and dean.
- EvgeniyZh 2y agoEven in US public universities have salary scales that are indexed. Moving to a different place while keeping tenure is possible too. Anyway I don't see how it's different from any other job, including the fact that having good relationships with colleagues is not a bad idea anyway.
