The findings from this study are quite scary if confirmed. We are blindly accepting to be made dumber.
I know that’s what teachers used to say about TI calculators, but the order of magnitude here is way bigger. And my TI certainly was never “agentic”.
- timeon 2y agoArgument with calculator is good example how we have tendency to dumb down. If there is just slight association we tend to put equals between the things - which is dangerous reduction for critical thinking.
