I really love pylance, but the issue is that while it can make your code almost as good as it can be with a compiled (statically typed) language if you use strict typechecking, it still can't make up for the issues that come with any library you use. Some popular packages are well annotated but some aren't, meaning that it's just not as good as soon as you start using 3rd party packages.
