I'd talk on HN before LinkedIn. LinkedIn is 99%+ corporate-slime and self-promoting behavior, and that fact makes me suspect anything someone says there. HN is far from perfect, but, for example, there's enough people posting pseudonymously, and I think a good percentage of those are saying something because they want to say it or think it should be said. Not because they're posturing for hiring or followers.
