Try the sister project http://inductionapp.com/ http://inductionapp.com/
- untog 14y agoWow, how have I never heard of this? Awesome, thanks!
- rexf 14y agonice, will def check out induction! "Induction supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Redis, and MongoDB out-of-the-box"
- justauser 14y agoInduction does look good. A bit uglier but if you need to support quite a few databases maybe Razor is another good alternative. I've used it for years. It is not open source though. http://www.razorsql.com/ http://www.razorsql.com/
- TY 14y agoRazor is actually quite impressive - I've made it the default SQL client tool for the team. It works on Windows, OS X and Linux, connects to almost any RDBMS in existence, easily customizable and has tabbed results interface in addition to many other features. All for $60-70. Easily worth the money, you can get a full trial for 30 days to see if it works for you.
- JonnieCache 14y agoThere's also this, similar but more full featured. http://www.navicat.com/ http://www.navicat.com/ I use it a lot, and have nothing but praise for it.
- eropple 14y agoI got Navicat during a sale on the App Store. It's the first app where I wished I could re-buy it at list price. It is GREAT.
- teyc 14y agoI'm curious. What's Navicat do that cheaper clients/don't?
- michaelbuckbee 14y agoNavicat is great, it has been surprisingly helpful to have the same database client app for all of the different DB systems (Postgres, MySQL, Sqlite) that I need to interact with.
- sant0sk1 14y agoI tried Induction a few weeks back and it has quite a ways to go before you could rely on it day in and day out. I'm still holding out for Postgres and Sqlite support in Sequel Pro since that tool has a great UI and tons of nifty features.
