Tuition cost has fallen significantly at many colleges
- jqpabc123 2y agoAmericans with a bachelor’s degree earn a median of $2.8 million during their careers, 75% more than if they had only a high school diploma So what is the conclusion here? One could easily conclude that those who demonstrate superior drive, motivation, determination and ability out earn those who don't. Bill Gates doesn't have a degree and he earns more in a week than most degree holders do in a lifetime. So is it the degree or is it the person?
- tssva 2y agoTuition, room and board for my final year of college was $6,207. With room and board being about a third of the total. Today the estimated cost is $27,306 with room and board being 48% of that. Other estimated costs add about $6k to that yearly total. Looking at historic costs prior to the last 10 years tuition increase greatly exceeded the rate of inflation but room and board mostly followed it. During the last 10 years tuition has mostly followed the rate of inflation which stays true to the article. However the cost of room and board has greatly exceeded the rate of inflation.
