Tik Tok- Has the Federal Gov Ever Forced ISP's to Block a Website?
- hnpolicestate 2y agoI'm kinda shocked by all this. I'm aware of states forcing ISP's to block connecting to websites. NYS blocked a crypto site I used and i believe some states block access to pornographic websites. This nyt article states the law passed by Congress will force ISP 's to block Americans from accessing Tik Toks website. This must be unprecedented? Using this legal precedent, will the U.S begin asking ISP's to block Americans from accessing other websites?

- hnpolicestate 2y agoOkay. I stand corrected. So no US company can host tik Tok. I wonder what happens if a foreign country hosts tik tok

- hnpolicestate 2y agoI didn't mean to do that. I wanted to cite my source for saying the U.S would block access to Tik Toks website. I'm going to remove the URL and put url source as comment.
