What's involved in getting a "modern" terminal setup?
- 3eb7988a1663 2y agoOne thing that trips me up on a daily basis -I have no idea how to copy and paste. Home machine is Linux, work is Windows (where I frequently remote to Linux). Use a variety of terminal emulators (Konsole, Cmder, Putty, VSCode's, command, Powershell). There is seemingly no consistency in what works, so it is a crap shoot and I have to run down the list of options. Can I mouse select text directly to clipboard? Shift select? Shift-CTRL-C? CTRL-V? Shift-CTRL-V? Mouse right click without modifier?

- lolinder 2y ago> (for example as far as I can tell if you want to copy some text from nano and put it in your system clipboard you just… can’t?) I'm not sure why this would be the case—in every terminal emulator I've used I can select any text anywhere in the terminal and copy it. I just tried it out with Konsole and I can copy from nano just fine. Maybe Julia means it's not possible with native nano keyboard shortcuts?
