Hi HN!
I built a lightweight app that helps you manage your eBooks and read them directly in your web browser—no downloads or complicated setups required. Here's what it does:
- Seamless Reading Experience: It remembers where you left off and takes you back to the exact page when you return.
- Effortless Login: Just enter your email, verify with a code sent to your inbox (check junk/spam folders if needed), and you're in.
- Upload and Read: Add your eBooks, enjoy the built-in reader (dark mode included!), and focus on your reading.
Start for free: Enough to get you started and explore the app.
Why I Built This:
I've been using this app privately for a while, and it’s become an indispensable part of my reading habit. I decided to share it with others to see if it could be useful for them too.
What I’d Love to Know:
- Would you use an app like this?
- Do you have any feedback or suggestions?
- And the bold question—would you pay for such a tool?
Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

- SpyCoder77 2y agoCan you make it open source?
- liviobnus 2y agoI can certainly consider making it open source so people can self host this. But I have to find an alternative to auth0 - which is tricky to configure. Do you like it?
- advaitruia 2y agoThis is cool! Can checkout SuperTokens which is also open source and self hostable but not sure if its worth it for now.
- carlosjobim 2y agoDoesn't it hurt your self esteem to be begging like this? How would you feel if beggars were bothering you at your home?
- carlosjobim 2y agoCongratulations on your nice work! I wouldn't use an app like this, because I do my reading on a Kindle for books and articles, and on e-paper for larger PDFs. I prefer just having the files, with offline access, and I don't consider it a problem to sync or to find where I was if I switch devices.
- liviobnus 2y agoThanks for the candid feedback. Yes, this is not for people who has kindle or other ebooks reader, or on Apple's ecosystem (I hear iBook is nice). Although I prefer audiobooks when on the move but the ability to read offline will be a nice little feature to have. I might implement offline reading in the future....
