  It can be many things, but it usually involves communication, which does not happen if people take turns talking about themselves. People may debate something, exchange information, talk about common interests or events affecting them, joke around or do many other things.

    Yes, but I don't see how that's different. If you have a common interest, and someone says something about this that you have a thought on, which could be of interest to the other people, you still have to wait your turn, you don't just barge in and interrupt.
