It's a declarative programming language. Saying it's "in the name" is a meme, it was named that before it supported scripting.

      They're orthogonal; you can add * turing in non-turing (javascript on html) * non-turing in turing (ebpf on c) * turing in turing (lua on c) * non-turing in non-turing (raw html in a markdown document)
