It's as if the federal government doesn't realize nobody trusts it. Whether due to ineptitude or dishonesty, the only thing we can be sure about this is that we can't be sure about it. We need a blue ribbon commission on transparency, honesty, and good governance desperately. Let's reduce any federal agencies that make any sort of direct-to-citizen recommendations by 100% and instead spend that on rooting out bad incentives, misinformation, etc.
