- text0404 2y agohere's a wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_desert https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_desert this is a long-studied area with real and verifiable research. the "grocery stores" you're thinking of are liquor/corner stores, which are not adequate substitutes.
