John Roberts Thinks Judges Should Be Spared Criticism
- jfengel 2y ago"Disinformation, even if disconnected from any direct attempt to intimidate, also threatens judicial independence. This can take several forms. At its most basic level, distortion of the factual or legal basis for a ruling can undermine confidence in the court system" I agree. I'd like to see something done about deliberate disinformation, within the bounds of the First Amendment. (Which has significant bounds: threats, fraud, defamation, etc.) I think disinformation has done and will do significant harm, to many things, not just the court. Or do you mean this to apply only to your things, and not my things?
