I think it is reasonable to have a series of neutrally buoyant drone blimps that are stationed at various altitudes of the atmosphere to monitor the winds, temperatures, lightning, chemical composition, clouds, dust, precipitation, potential microbes floating on dust, etc.. The probably don't need to descend down further than when the temperature rises to 50°C or so.
- bell-cot 2y agoIF that could be reliably done on a modest budget, okay. Well...assuming the drones have a decent service life. Temperature and pressure aren't the only challenges that the Venusian atmosphere offers. Otherwise - let Bezos pay for it, to score the bragging rights.
