A "developer edition" laptop with 1366x768 resolution?
- glesica 14y agoThis is why I won't buy a machine from one of the many fine vendors that sell laptops with Linux pre-loaded. In virtually all cases (that I've seen) you have to choose between a low-resolution screen and paying $2,000 or more.
- ldng 14y agoExactly my thought. When Dell launched it's survey, devs were screaming for 4:3 high dpi screen. Basically that survey was useless.
- andyking 14y agoI'm in the market for a new desktop monitor right now, and I'm finding it really difficult to find a 4:3 aspect ratio at a decent price. I'm not using the computer to watch movies, it's a PC, not a TV, and I value my vertical screen space. It seems the widescreen fad is pushing good old 4:3 out of the market. I'd pick a reconditioned one up, but I want HDMI input, rather than VGA...
- TobbenTM 14y agoI would rather recommend buying a 16:10 screen and rotating it 90 degrees. Works perfect for me.
