I'd also recommend Curlish (http://packages.python.org/curlish/ http://packages.python.org/curlish/). It performs nice JSON highlighting and also handles OAuth 2.0 token authentication. It simply wraps curl(1), so all of the familiar arguments and recipes continue to work just fine, as well.
