In fairness, a better Google search is worth millions of dollars. And I agree that the primary virtue of coding with current AI is that it just cuts time that is spent looking through multiple pages of junky search results. It's not necessarily better or more accurate, but it is far faster. I'd even say that AI coding would be far less appealing if Google hadn't let its search results go to crap over the last ten years.
