The Adrian Dittmann Story
- krismatja 2y agoEven if this person is Elon or not, who cares really? I don't know about you, but this is extremely creepy and overly excessive to get information on a private individual without consent, just because he has a similar voice to Elon. Especially when this all of this was based of a joke it seems? This is directed at both this article and the Spectator. Should we do an in-depth and detailed documentation on the 'roon (@tszzl)' X account next?

- llamaimperative 2y agoIt’s in the public interest because Musk is one of the most powerful people on the planet and he’s exercising that power quite forcefully these days. People obviously are going to be interested to find every snippet of information they can about his beliefs and goals — especially the ones he’s unwilling to publicly sign his name to.
- krismatja 2y ago> It’s in the public interest because Musk is one of the most powerful people on the planet and he’s exercising that power quite forcefully these days. But that doesn't mean you should go ahead and hunt for every detail about a person just because they sound like Elon. So if I am a great Elon Musk impersonator should I be doxxed to a huge extent just like in this article / Spectator? All one had to was ask or do a face interview with the person.
- llamaimperative 2y agoPeople have asked for face interviews. I suspect Adrian is enjoying the attention all the confusion generates. And it’s not “just” because he sounds like Elon. There have been multiple occasions where Adrian has said “I” referring to Elon. Obviously people slip up in speech, but also obviously some people have pseudonyms. Adrian has lots of in-depth knowledge of Tesla/SpaceX, shows up in the same circles as Elon constantly, has an obscene Twitter addiction (i.e. just participated in a 10 hour live audio chat), defends Elon at every chance including in deeply weird/personal ways like “you are such an amazing father Elon” on pictures of Elon and his kids. It’s all quite weird and people are absolutely justified to be curious what the fuck is going on.
- krismatja 2y agoThe same of what you said to me can be also applied to the "roon (@tszzl)" account on X, it has been widely speculated that that account is Sam Altman, works at OpenAI, knows about 'AGI', and also speaks in riddles. Now that we know 'the truth' that Adrian Dittman is not Elon (it was an elaborate inside joke by the way) Should we both together make a large extensive public exposé on the roon (@tszzl) X account to find out the truth because we are curious about what the fuck is going on?
- llamaimperative 2y agoSure! Let’s play it out: 1) Does Roon’s speaking voice sound almost identical to Altman’s? 2) Did Altman’s own child say Roon is his alt account? 3) Does Roon sometimes say “I” in place of “he” when speaking about Altman? 4) Does Roon call the base of Altman’s political party of choice (of which he’s a central figure) names like “crackheads?” If the answer is “yes” to all of these, then I wouldn’t find it weird at all for someone to spend time digging into it.
- krismatja 2y agoNot extensive enough. I expect a very curious individual such as yourself to make the same or if not higher level of analysis as the one on Adrian Dittmann for roon. All of this information without their consent, including their close family and friends, children and other information about where they live, their private information floating on the internet and who they work and their work history (all blurred out of course). Then we can definitely conclude that roon is or is not Altman, we both know that roon and Altman work at OpenAI so you can start your investigation there.
- llamaimperative 2y agoUhhh I must not have been clear. I'm playing out whether the situations are similar enough for it to be justifiable for someone to dig into it. That was not an attempt to actually figure it out, just like I didn't actually attempt to figure out the Dittmann thing.
- orbital-decay 2y agoThat doesn't justify casually doxxing another person who is not Musk and might or might not be the same Adrian Dittmann, though.
- llamaimperative 2y agoYeah, definitely not a good consequence of the whole ordeal. I don't really agree with that outcome.
- tibbydudeza 2y agoClearly Elon is not a healthy person - the last time I had an imaginary friend was when I was a kid - apparently a normal part of childhood development not in adults.
- Amezarak 2y agoThe article establishes pretty clearly Dittman is not imaginary, and he is not Elon. I’ve been skeptical, but I thought it was possible. The evidence seemed weak, though - I’m a relative nobody, and when I had a tiny bit of e-fame there were a few people out there relentlessly cheerleading/shilling me and aggressively agreeing with everything I said. So the fact Dittman did this with Elon was hardly conclusive. I thought they did sound alike, but that’s not conclusive. A few people did claim they heard Dittman in spaces while Elon was on live television, but of course since I could not verify that for myself I considered it possible that they were just Elon boosters making that up to defend him. But it looks like they were right. Musk and Dittman are definitely different people.
- chkaloon 2y agoThis doesn't address the screenshot of Elon's X admin page in the background of one of Adrian's posts
- yunruse 2y agoThat was a 4chan screenshot, analysis of which shows some pretty clear photoshopping [0]. All signs point to it being some kind of troll; I don't know how 4chan pseudonyms works but I can't imagine it having actual identity verification. - sidibe 2y agoPeople really don't want to admit them being separate people. This guy just basically adopted all of Elon mannerisms, beliefs and interests to get attention. He "slips" up sometimes on purpose to keep the ambiguity but the real tell is he spends hours every day talking while Elon is appearing in other places, like on NYE you could listen to Adrian while seeing Elon and X at Trumps party in mar-a-lago. Musk has had some cringe alts but Adrian is not one of them, he tolerates him because he's a massive fan who always has his back and he likes the attention all the speculation gets.
- chuckwfinley 2y agoI think this hits the nail on the head. I do believe it would be very unlikely for Elon to be using the dittman account as much as it is used. That is the simplest possible explanation.
- tines 2y agoThen you underestimated what a child this guy is: https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1875758660154163254 https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1875758660154163254
- dyauspitr 2y agoPretty sure Elon just came out and said he was Adrian yesterday.
- tines 2y ago
- romaaeterna 2y agoDittmann sounded just like Elon the other day on the call with Loomer, and was obviously Elon. In recent spaces, Dittmann sounds like someone else.
- tines 2y agoWell, so much for that: https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1875758660154163254 https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1875758660154163254
- hightrix 2y agoThis title needs to be changed. "My Theory on Adrian Dittmann".
- CamperBob2 2y agoNo, Elon, you're not Adrian Dittmann, you're Howard Hughes. Read about him, and ask yourself if that's the way you want your life to play out, because that's what's happening now.
- leobg 2y agoWhat makes you think he isn’t just messing with people here? He has said before that he’s an alien or that he’ll guard Taylor Swift’s cats with his life. Why should this one be different?
- tines 2y agoHe’s either Adrian Dittman, a liar, or a clown, take your pick. I think he’s all three. In any case he’s a child.
- leobg 2y ago[flagged]
- bryancoxwell 2y agoMusk did not start Tesla.
- olliej 2y agoBut … he didn’t found any of those companies?

- floppiplopp 2y agoElon Musk has been investing massively in reputation management for years now. The guy is a narcissist and obsessed with his image and his self perception. And he's been paying people to feed this. I suspect all of this is just more professionally planted FUD on his part.
