Why most dev's dislike answering algorithmic questions?
- deleted 2y ago[deleted]
- johncoltrane 2y agoBecause I'm a self-taught web developer, not a computer scientist. I have accumulated a lot of experience since my first website in 1999, but I would be incapable, literally, of answering "algorithmic questions" or solving fizzbuzz or any of that… which, incidentally, is mostly useless in real life.
- LtWorf 2y agoI think being unable to solve fizzbuzz goes well beyond not being able to solve tricky graph traversal problems optimally. It's more on "you have been programming for more than 2 weeks and we can now do an interview"
