I cannot think of a single good thing that would happen to gaming if every single game had creative commons assets from day one. You'd end up with endless identical looking games. Now, releasing the assets under CC after 5 years or so I could get behind. Let the culture remix your work after it has had a chance to stand and be judged, appreciated on its own.
