We Need a Cyber Bill of Rights
- superkuh 2y agoIt is infeasible to pass legislation that is good for human persons as law is not made with human persons' needs in mind. Instead, each of us needs to stop primarily talking on corporate own platforms (like this one). Opera browser had a genius idea that just couldn't work in the ipv4 world but would in the ipv6 one: cut the gordian knot of moderation and have a personal (static) webserver built into every browser. No amount of using physical violence (law) or switching from corporate host to corporate host (twitter->bluesky, facebook->reddit, etc) will help.
