It would take a about 4x longer if I did my prep work with your tools. No harm in that, we just do different things in the kitchen. Edit: I remembered that beyond being simply slower, some important operations are extremely impractical without a cutting board, like mincing. Flat out impossible to do with a serrated knife as well.
