There are many destructive processes happening in the post-reproductive years that we don't have names for yet and unfortunately have been referring to as "aging". But they are disease states as much as any other. There is literally nothing about this project that will have any dog or human live forever. But it does have the possibility to improve dog and human health in some fundamental ways and increase the number of healthy years that we get before disease takes over. If this is longevity science, then all medicine is longevity science.
