If I understand correctly, it's triggering an actual wifi AP scan, and the AP enumeration in the registry is a side effect of finding the interface to go ask it

If I understand correctly, it's triggering an actual wifi AP scan, and the AP enumeration in the registry is a side effect of finding the interface to go ask it to rescan.
But I might be missing something.
