How much of this is hype we think?
Serious question: are people actually making use of "agents" in their companies to do the tedious work that most vertical agents solve for? I find coding agents (codium/cursor/copilot) useful, but I've not seen (successful) deployments of vertical agents at scale.
Klarna claims to be all in on the custom agent game, but I'm not sure how much of it is real vs. propping up for the impending IPO.
- fallinditch 2y agoFor sure this is in the area of the current zeitgeist hype. One reason for this is Eliza's integration with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, see AI Agents with Crypto Superpowers [1]. I think another reason is the DAO model that is capturing community involvement to build with the platform in exchange for a modest 'tax' that feeds back into the Eliza token. The GitHub repo was the most starred last month [2] Another project receiving the hype due to crypto crossover is Virtuals [3] [1] https://blog.district0x.io/ai-agents-with-crypto-superpowers-eefdc55e3c73 https://blog.district0x.io/ai-agents-with-crypto-superpowers...
