For those who are interested, there's a new Stack Exchange site for Raspberry Pi developers and users: http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com
Some example questions:
"How do I run the Raspberry Pi on Solar Power?" http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/86 http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/86
"How can I extend the life of my SD card?" http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/169 http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/169
"How do I install Google Chrome?" http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/374 http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/374
- linker3000 14y agoI'm torn at hearing about this because although it seems a logical move, the RPi official site has its own support/tech forums (and Wiki), so do Farnell (Element 14) and adding another technical resources site is going to fragment the support collective even more.
- alexchamberlain 14y agoI find the SE format much easier to read and find the information I want.
- jws 14y agoOdd choice. My reputation doesn't carry over from the main stackexchange.com site. I tried to be a good citizen and upvote some helpful answers that were below less helpful answers, but was rebuffed.
- m_myers 14y agoIf you have 200 reputation on any site in the network, you should be granted a +100 bonus when you create an account on a new site. That's enough to let you vote and comment, but not quite enough to downvote.
