I'm a fan of the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. It is basically "what happens if Horatio Hornblower becomes a dragon rider instead of a ship's captain". There are world wide dragon cultures in the books as varied as humans', with dragons named Temeraire, Lien, Maximus, Lily and Iskierka. Since the names are so varied and cross cultural, the name generator could output random names and you couldn't say that they don't fit in that universe. Cheers to Novik for writing dragons that don't fit in pigeon holes.
