EDIT: Oh cool, I just need to spend ~300 dollars on a special crimping tool (HT-95) :\
- wccrawford 2y agoYeah, that's what I got out of the page, too. There's a lot of information on that page, and someone looking for "how to crimp dupont" is going to bounce off that pretty fast. I bought a few different ones, including some that seem more automated, but I ended up liking a simple Hozan P-707 ($44) in the end. I get better crimps from it than anything else I've bought. It takes a bit of practice to get good at it, but not too long.
- pera 2y agoYeah crimping tools can be quite expensive... There is a long running, and still active, thread on the eevblog forum about affordable ones (mostly from AliExpress) you might find interesting: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/affordable-crimp-tools-for-small-connectors-(dupont-etc-)/ https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/affordable-crimp-tools...
