My suburb is a 15-20 minute walk from grocery stores and pubs, sports fields, parks, etc. So that depends on where you live. That is not a long walk, that is the exact number of minutes people push for with "15 minute cities". Overall I view suburbs as probably a net negative for all of the space wasted.
