On MacOS and iOS/iPadOS with Safari you can choose Reader View, print (or share on mobile) and then save as PDF. I believe Windows can also save to PDF through the print option. Don’t know about Linux. Some web pages will have print-specific CSS that will format nicely without ads, others won’t. I’ve seen some that actively resist printing.
