Having talked to the tweaky guys last week -- they are aware of the potential concern -- have some mitigations (encryption/etc) in place -- don't feel that it's a massive concern of the target market -- and have prototypes of more detailed technical solutions. In short -- smart guys - and they have a strategy to deal with it if the market says that random developer access to prod is bad. (And I think the market for $25 tweaks is probably ok with that anyway)
