Interesting take, can you share you reasons for all things retro computing gaining popularity?
- purple-leafy 2y agotypical software engineers are getting sick of AI, the large majority of software engineers are working in webdev I think they will start migrating to lower level programming (to escape AI to an extent), and the most enjoyable lower level programming projects are: - Writing your own language - Retro game emulators - Operating Systems - Graphics programming
- JoeyJoJoJr 2y agoAlso I think IDEs for retro consoles will become more prevalent, and there is the added benefit of of multiplayer for free with many emulators offering rollback netcode.
