- Terr_ 2y ago"Rubber ducking" shows you don't always need the other person either. Something about compressing our ideas into language and then unpacking them again lets us re-evaluate facts and goals. Perhaps it even helps recruit facilities and mental subsystems that would otherwise be idle or occupied with something else.
