Even though almost everyone died? I would disagree pretty strongly that runway was preferred than water landing.
- x3n0ph3n3 2y agoLanding in the ocean is not the same as landing on the hudson river. Not only would the plane have still likely broken up and caught on fire, but rescue crews would have been even further away. Something went horribly wrong on that plane and in that cockpit. Emergency services didn't even have a chance to prep the runway.
