Is that fruit related to yeni dünya?

Tejocotes is a hawthorn, yeni dünya is a plum. I'm guessing they differ in acidity and pectin content.

No, but it is related to alıç. That family spread around the world. Yeni dünya (loquat in English, which comes from Chinese) is a completely different thing.
