While I can understand a dress code along the lines of avoiding obscenity in t-shirts, nudity, or other intentional attempts at distraction... denim? This seems like a classic example of rules created by fusty old men being carried into the 21st century because of tradition.
- wryoak 2y agoMaybe, but also denim is pretty much the ugliest thing a person can wear
- EA-3167 2y agoIt's a chess match, not a fashion show, and that's a good thing because I don't look at a room full of chess GM's and think, "Now those guys get fashion." I think, "Somewhere a library is missing its librarian."
