I am not sure exactly how the tech in question was developed, but it seems to me a more serious approach is to use estimates from the patient’s same gendered relatives, such as their grandparents or parents. Applying average distributions to specific individuals doesn’t work for huge swaths of patients for specialized cases like aging and cancer, which is why these areas are difficult to diagnose, predict and treat.
