Right, AWS rarely saves on hardware/hosting costs, it saves developer-hours. Especially if you're a fast-moving organization that rapidly changing hardware needs, something like AWS gives you agility. That said, most organizations are not nearly so agile as they'd like to believe and would probably be better off paying for something inflexible and cheap.
