I didn't see anything in the paper or at the link where they talk about how they model or decide how the "economy has been great" -- they talk about their model

I didn't see anything in the paper or at the link where they talk about how they model or decide how the "economy has been great" -- they talk about their model and stock market returns, etc... but never how they decide how a/the economy is doing. Am I missing something?
