I'm pretty glad that maintenance and insurance are mandatory, and that most alterations to a vehicle require passing a special inspection. And it would be great if batteries, including their mounting frame and cooling system, were standardized in such a way that one would not only be able to let a shop replace the battery, but also have the option to buy a car without a battery and either reuse the old one or buy a new one from a better brand.
