I have been seeing these types of articles quite a bit in the last 2 months. I personally think that it is a bad way to look at things. IT services companies like Infosys right now may be a huge part of the Indian IT industry and the overall export economy, but it shouldn't be that way. High-tech companies (like Google, Apple) should have that place. If companies like Infosys are only relying on revenue from outsourced projects from the US and not actually spending money on their own research and development, then they should have disappointing financials. Nonetheless, I don't think it spells out the doomsday "golden era is over" like this article's headline.
