As a laymen, my prior is that it that the suit has a 0% chance of ending with the top executives giving all the money back.
Are there existing cases where it happened ?
I would like to evaluate the probability that they will give _some_ money back. Same question : where do I look for existing case ? Does that ever happen ?

It’s a club, and they want to remain in it.
