I have mentioned this in two comments but HN gets really kooky when it comes to cosmology. A few years ago i saw a barrage of highly upvoted papers on MOND and de Broglie stuff. It really made me wonder what else gets posted here that is patently absurd but i dont have the prerequisite knowledge to filter it.
