It just magically shows up instantly as a printer on Linux. It's the best printing experience I've ever had.

- imp0cat 2y agoI may be misunderstanding, but it seems to me that you're talking about a printer that is already connected to the local network? But in my case, the software was needed to connect the printer to the wifi.
