The article really lacks a discussion on the granularity of this “change log”. Do you write “worked on db project” or do you detail progress and failures? I keep a daily log at work (not public) and sometimes it just says “project 1, project 2” for days on end. Not really useful to look back at, but still nice to jot down in the morning.
