But I'll say that as of 2024 1 in 36 US children are diagnosed on the spectrum according to the CDC(!), which would mean if you met 10 AI researchers and 4 were neurodivergent you'd reasonably expect that it's a higher-than-population average representation. I'm polling from the Effective Altruist AI folks in my mind, and the number is definitely, definitely higher than 4/10.
